Dania and Nick’s epic two-day Pakistani wedding celebration was truly one for the books! Dania was drawn to my wedding photography work because she wanted a wedding photographer who could capture all the vibrance and joy of a Pakistani wedding in a clear documentary style. Getting to be part of this day was SO fun!
Mehndi: The Joyful First Day of this Pakistani Wedding
The first day of Dania and Nick’s wedding celebration was packed with warmth and color. They hosted their guests at Dania’s family home, holding their party in a beautiful tent in the backyard. Nick and Dania wore color-coordinated outfits in hot pink and cool green, and they decorated the tent with a backdrop of beautiful fabric so that the whole vibe was warm and welcoming.
As the night went on, different groups of family and friends took to the dance floor to perform and show off their moves in front of the happy couple. My favorite moment might have been when all of the younger cousins swarmed out onto the platform and had everyone laughing!
The Elegant Nikkah Ceremony
The next day, for their nikkah ceremony, Dania and Nick chose a lot of thoughtful details to really give day two of their Pakistani wedding celebration a different feel from the mehndi. Dania wore the more gorgeous pale yellow and gold ensemble, complimented by the yellow roses in the men’s boutonnieres.
They said their vows under a picture-perfect floral arch in the backyard before heading back to the tent for the evening reception. Their colorful cloth backdrop was replaced by a lavish display of white flowers, where the couple sat together and received gifts from their families. Then the party started! This family danced the night away and had SO much fun while doing it – and what evening of dancing would be complete without a late-night McDonald’s run? I like their style!
