My Oldest Family Photo
There's nothing quite as romantic as filling the walls of a home with memories. There's nothing quite as nostalgic as sitting in your grandparents kitchen, gingerly turning the pages of their wedding album, the sepia-toned photos curling up at the edges where the 50-year old glue is starting to erode.
Growing up, visiting my grandparents was my one source of nostalgia and it still is. My Granny is the one person is the holder of all people moments and memories. She's the person who is a big piece of my inspiration to pick up a camera. Whether you remember it to be a good or bad season of life she has images of it, because every stage of life is worth remembering. Without fail every visit I will spend a couple hours combing through photographs.
Those afternoons with my grandparents shaped me. If, through my photography, I can create those moments for families in the future, that's the most fulfilling work I could ever ask to do.
