Selfishly, I became a photographer so that I could control the photography experience for others. Growing up, whenever my family would book photo sessions, I just never loved how the day inevitably turned out. There was never any intrigue, no nuance or romanticism to the experience. And so, I picked up a camera and decided to learn how to give others the personal, romanticized, absolutely ethereal experience that I myself had always wanted.

03. How do we know if you’re the right photographer for us?
Cinematic and intimate. I shoot like I’m making a film, not documenting an event. The world the light, the room, the feeling of the night is as present in my photographs as the people in them. I work in color and black and white, and I edit to a feeling rather than a preset. If you’ve ever looked at a photograph and felt like you could step back inside that moment, that’s what I’m going for.
02. How would you describe your style?
Both, really. I come to every wedding with a deep understanding of who you are as a couple from our conversations, from what you’ve shared, from paying attention. I’ll guide you through the moments that need a little direction, like family formals, portraits and then photograph like a guest for the rest. The photographs I’m most proud of are always the ones where you forgot I was there.
